What should I keep in mind before arriving at Las Cinco Calderas?

From what time is it possible to do the check-in time?
Check-in is from 14hs onwards. And check out until 12 noon. If you wish, we offer you the service of check in and check out online, without contact.
Our reception hours are 9-15hs and 18-23hs, Sunday from 9-15hs; outside these hours, you can contact us by phone or via whatsapp for whatever you need.
What time is breakfast served?
We have two breakfast shifts in order to ensure the distance between people. Shifts at 9am and 10am. Please book your preferred shift on arrival: 9-9:45 or 10-10:45 and we will confirm availability on a first come, first served basis.
What time do you clean the rooms?
The cleaning service is from 10-15hs. If for any reason it has to be outside these hours, please contact us.

Are there advantages to booking on the official website?
On our website you can book at the best price, guaranteed. Therefore, if you find it cheaper under the same conditions, we will match the best price you find and refund the difference. In addition, we offer exclusive conditions and discounts that you will only find by booking through our website:
– 8% exclusive discount with the non-refundable rate: Discount available when booking at least 7 days in advance of the arrival date. Valid throughout the year except for the months of July and August, and until September 15th.
– 10% exclusive discount for long stays of five or more nights. Discount available when booking at least 7 days in advance of the arrival date. Offer not available during July, August and from September 1st to 15th.
Are the cancellation conditions also better when booking through the website?
Yes, by booking through the website we offer more flexible cancellation policies.
– Free cancellation up to 7 days in advance throughout the year, except from July 15th to August 31st and Easter week, when it will be 14 days.
– Cancellation after the deadline (full or partial stay): 50 percent of the stay will be charged.
– No-show, same-day cancellation or early departure: The full amount of the reservation will be charged.
– Confirmation conditions: 50% of the total amount may be charged.
Can multiple reservations (for several rooms) be made for group or family trips through the website?

Is there a minimum stay?
Yes.
Depending on the season, there may be a minimum stay, which is always indicated during the booking process.
In general:
– Usual minimum: 2 nights
-En summer: longer minimum stays starting from 4 nights, in general.
What is the cancellation policy??
The cancellation policy may vary depending on the season and is always specified during the booking process.
INFORMATION ABOUT ACCOMMODATION WITH CHILDREN AND BABIES
No. La Casona Las Cinco Calderas is a family-friendly hotel where all guests are welcome: couples, solo travelers, families with children, babies, and pets.
Do I need to add children or babies to the reservation?
Yes, it is necessary to include all guests in the reservation. A guest is defined as any individual who will be staying at the hotel.
Is there a supplement?
Yes, the supplement varies depending on age:
– Up to 2 years old, the supplement is €20 per night, and includes a crib if specifically requested (in the reservation comments).
– From 2 to 16 years old, the supplement is €34 per night, and includes breakfast and an extra bed. In this case, unless otherwise stated, we will always provide an extra bed.
How do I make a reservation with a child or baby?
– For children over 2 years old, please indicate this in the initial field where you provide the number of guests and the number of rooms. The supplement of €34/night/child will be automatically included in the final price.
– For children under 2 years old, please indicate this on the second screen of the booking process as an “Optional Service” for the room. Please specify in the comments whether or not you require a crib.
Are the supplements for children or babies per bed or per person?
The supplements for babies and children are applied per person, not per crib or extra bed.

The hotel occupies a historic 17th-century manor house, whose original structure has been preserved during renovation. For this reason, the building does not have an elevator.
For guests with specific mobility needs, we have two rooms on the ground floor:
a standard double room
and the Garden Suite
Is there parking at the hotel?
Yes.
The hotel has exclusive parking for guests within the hotel grounds.
The parking is outdoors, not covered, and is not monitored.
Is there Wi-Fi at the hotel?
Yes. We have free Wi-Fi in all rooms and also in the hotel’s outdoor areas.

It depends on the room type.
Standard double rooms are the most numerous and also the most varied: within this category, there are several configurations (double bed, single beds, larger rooms, rooms with shower, etc.).
For this reason, we usually cannot confirm a specific room before arrival, although we always try to take our guests’ preferences into account when making room assignments.
In the other room categories, the rooms are more uniform, and their features (bed type, bathtub, whirlpool tub, etc.) are clearly described in the Rooms section of the website and also during the booking process.
Are all the rooms the same?
No. The hotel has 16 rooms, many of them different from each other.
This is part of the character of the building, a restored historic manor house, where each room has its own layout and personality.
Are there family rooms?
Yes. We have family rooms designed to accommodate families with children.
Are there rooms with a bathtub or whirlpool?
Yes. Some rooms have a whirlpool tub, specifically the Superior Rooms with Whirlpool and the Garden Suite.
Can cribs or extra beds be added?
Cribs can be added in all rooms.
Extra beds are available in some rooms, depending on the type.

How many rooms does the hotel have?

INFORMATION ABOUT BAR & RESTAURANT SERVICE
In most cases, yes.
In standard double rooms, you can choose a rate with or without breakfast, according to your preference. In all other room categories, breakfast is included in the rate.
Breakfast is offered as a hotel service and is served à la carte, featuring local and regional products.
It is served in different shifts between 9:00 and 10:30, allowing us to attend to each table at our leisure.

Can I have dinner at the hotel?
Yes.
The hotel offers a simple, home-style dinner service, exclusively for hotel guests.
This is a very limited service with restricted seating, therefore:
groups of more than 6 people cannot be accommodated at a time
it is recommended to check availability during your stay
The service is guaranteed during peak season. Outside of peak season, we recommend confirming availability before arrival.
Does the hotel have a bar?
The hotel has a 24-hour honesty bar.
Guests can freely help themselves to a selection of hot or cold drinks by simply noting their consumption and room number. The amount will be added to the final bill.

From the hotel, we recommend several visits and excursions highly appreciated by our guests, all easily accessible and perfect for discovering both the coast and the interior of Cantabria.
About 30 minutes away is Santander, an elegant city open to the sea, ideal for strolling, enjoying its beaches, or visiting iconic landmarks such as the Magdalena Peninsula. Bilbao, with its renowned Guggenheim Museum and vibrant cultural and gastronomic scene, is less than an hour away by car.
Very close to the hotel, you can explore the Trasmiera Ecopark, a natural area that offers guided tours and interpretive trails, allowing you to learn more about the landscape, flora, and fauna of this region.
The nearest coastal area offers numerous options for walking along the sea, such as the cliffside route from Ribamontán al Mar, as well as some of Cantabria’s best beaches, located just a short drive away.
Among nearby excursions, we also recommend visiting the Ajo lighthouse, the Caballo lighthouse in Santoña, or charming villages like Isla, Liérganes, or further inland: the Pasiegos Valleys…all perfect for completing a stay in the area.

Are there any walking trails near the hotel?
Yes.
One of the most popular trails is the Cliff Trail, which runs along the coast of the municipality of Ribamontán al Mar.
We also recommend visiting the Trasmiera Ecopark, where guided tours are offered to learn more about the flora, fauna, and natural environment of the area.
There are also shorter trails near the hotel. It all depends on our guests’ preferences; there are options for everyone.
Are there any activities available at sea?
Yes.
In the area, you can enjoy various activities such as:
- surfing
- hiking
- kayaking
- canoeing
- fishing
- boat trips
- birdwatching
Many of these activities are organized from Somo, one of the most popular surfing destinations in Spain.

How far is the nearest beach?
The nearest beach is approximately 2.5 km from the hotel.
There are also other beaches very close by:
- another option 3.3 km away
- and some of the most spectacular beaches in Cantabria about 6.5 km away
Is it possible to walk to a restaurant?
Yes, although it requires walking along the road.
The nearest restaurant is El Pajar, located approximately 1.2 km from the hotel (about a 15-minute walk).
If you wish, we can provide a selection of recommended restaurants, ordered by their distance from the hotel.
Are there gardens or walking areas within the hotel?
Yes.
The hotel has approximately 4,000 m² of gardens, where guests can stroll or relax peacefully.
We also offer:

- covered porch where we serve breakfast and dinner
- various green areas with seating
Are there quiet places to read or relax?
Yes.
Many guests particularly appreciate the hotel’s quiet spaces:

Is the hotel near the Camino de Santiago?
Yes.
The hotel is located very close to the Northern Way of the Camino de Santiago, shortly after passing through the town of Güemes.
