La Casona Las Cinco Calderas is a charming hotel in Cantabria, located in a historic Cantabrian manor house whose origins date back to the late 17th century. Situated in Galizano, in the heart of the Cantabrian coastal countryside and very close to the sea, the hotel offers a rare combination of history, nature, and tranquility in northern Spain.
Following a renovation that respected its original architecture, the manor house has been transformed into a small boutique hotel with 16 rooms, where the character of traditional Cantabrian houses is maintained while combining it with modern comforts. Each room is different, reflecting the building’s historical structure and giving each space its own unique personality.

Las Cinco Calderas is a charming rural hotel built on the site of a restored 17th-century manor house.
The building originally belonged to the noble Calderón-Güemes family, whose coat of arms—featuring five cauldrons with pennants—gives the hotel its name. Elements of this past are still preserved in the building’s architecture, such as the stone façade, the three-arched portico, and some heraldic vestiges that recall the house’s noble origins.
